If you have been following my blog for awhile (enter side smirk and eye roll), you may recall my client with a taste for all things Scandinavian. You may also recall I was working on multiple rooms in her home.'s time for the big Room Two reveal. The nursery.

Here is where we were two years ago...

And from another angle.

My client was ready for those shelves to disappear and she knew she wanted to keep all of the furniture. It was just a matter of making the room more functional and beautiful.

We tried the crib on the left wall and the dresser on the wall with the shelves, but then I saw this image and felt inspired to add wallpaper.

Here are the afters.

My client mentioned this room would eventually turn into her eldest son's room, so we chose a wallpaper with an 'I don't care that this used to be my little sister's nursery' vibe. I should have taken a close up because the pattern really is beautiful. They are tree cross-sections and feel like an original watercolor.

As mentioned, the furniture stayed put, so we had to make the room feel pulled together and personal with the details.

We changed out the knobs of the dresser (to make it feel less country), filled the dresser with 'stuff', and added the painting above the crib. It was originally in their dining room, but made it's way here upon my latest visit. :)

I love her library of collected books!

And on the wall opposite the crib, we added this personalized shelf...complete with a self portrait of one of her brothers.

It really is a sweet little room.

And I don't think I'll ever tire of this angle. Now off to finish up Room Three!
