This sharing bit is going to be fun! I love looking back over 'old' projects and seeing how far the rooms have evolved. It's one thing to ooh and awe over the finished product, but I love sharing the before so you can see exactly what changed...sometimes it doesn't take much!

This particular transformation is one of my favorites. My friend and her husband had recently purchased their first home and spent time getting the 'bones' of the 1920's charmer ready for decor. After coating the walls white (yay!) and buffing the original floors, we were ready to dive in.

Here is how the room looked when we started dreaming.

We planned to recover the chairs (should we have kept the yellow floral-ha!) and work with a color palette of green and blue. Another important element was the rug...circular was the best solution as to not cut into the natural traffic flow from the front door (which is to the right). And then to cap off the room we added personal touches with collected art and accessories. One of my favorite elements is the painting above the fireplace. A consignment store treasure! I love the cozy feeling of this room and can't wait to show you some other parts of their home.

Here in the room all spic and span.
